audio, video cassettes on agri topics
Lahore-The Punjab agriculture department has made arrangements
to provide information on various agriculture topics to the
farming community through audio and video cassettes free of
charge.
The cassettes can be obtained from the department office at 21
Agha Khan Road here by giving copies at empty (unrecorded)
cassettes in the required number, official sources said. They
said these cassettes are based upon latest agriculture
research with experts providing guidance to farmers for
adopting techniques to improve production of various crops
from sowing to harvesting.
The sources said, at present, the information is available on
the crops of wheat, cotton, corn, sugarcane, pulses,
vegetables, gardens and different varieties of oil seeds,
adding that growers can learn a lot from these cassettes.
The farmers can benefit both individually by increasing their
agricultural production and also benefit the country by
ensuring a sound base for the national economy, sources
observed.
